Does God Really Love Me?

There are times where we go through things in life that leave us battered and bruised, some of them leaving us feeling so hopeless and alone.  There are points during these times of extreme adversity or trials that we can begin to question whether or not God really loves us.  We begin to doubt our faith and doubt God’s ability to help us or even His desire to want to help us.

“Does God Really Love me?”

Despite all that you may be going through in your life right now, I can assure you that God does love you.  In fact He loves you more than words can even describe, and even though what you may be facing right now has you feeling beat down and alone, God is still right at your side; in fact He has never left you.  Don’t ever doubt the fact that God loves you, that is simply an attack from satan to try to destroy your faith in Jesus Christ.

How do you know God really loves Me?

The first reason that I want to bring to your attention comes first with a question.

Would you give up your life for your wife? children? parents?

For most of us the answer to this question would probably be “Yes”.  Would you agree that it takes a pretty powerful love for somebody in order to give you life up for them?  This is what God did for all of us.  God sent His only Son to earth not only to die, but to be beaten and tortured beyond being recognizable as a human being.

We have to remember that Jesus Christ is not just an ordinary guy that gave up His life for us, no He is the spotless, sinless, perfect Son of God, and He willingly gave up His life so that He could save all of us from our sins.  If that above all else does not speak of His love for us, I don’t know what does.

God’s Word is filled with Bible Verses that will further answer the question “Does God really Love Me?”.  We can see that throughout the Bible that it talks about God’s love, and we see that God showered His love and blessings on the people time and time again, even after they continually sinned against Him.

John 3:16 Reminds us that :

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son that whosoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life.”

Romans 8:38 Shows us the strength of Gods Love for us:

“And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love

In fact the Bible tells us that God is Love, His very nature radiates love as seen in 1 John 4:8:

But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love.

You see when tough times hit we have to remember two things, the first being that we live in a sinful fallen world where there is many terrible things happening.  Secondly God uses different situations in order to test and refine us; to make us stronger both in character and in faith.

It is during these times that we need to cling to the promises of God through His Word and we need to place our complete trust in Him.  When you place your full trust in Jesus Christ and you walk in the ways of Christ then no matter what you come up against, it is already taken care of.

You may have to make the journey through it but know that you will be protected and when you finally reach the end of that journey you will be stronger, and you will be blessed for having put your faith and trust in Jesus Christ.
