Kindness is the act of being gentle, mild, good natured, benevolent and showing humility and favor towards somebody. The Word of God has many Bible verses about kindness and we are taught that we need to be kind and show kindness towards others; even your enemies. In fact kindness is listed in the Bible as one of the fruits of the spirit, which describe the nature of God Himself. Here are verses that will show you what the bible has to say about the kindness of God and what it says about how we should be towards others.
Romans 11:22 “Notice how God is both kind and severe. He is severe toward those who disobeyed, but kind to you if you continue to trust in His kindness. But if you stop trusting, you also will be cut off.
Psalms 145:17 “The Lord is righteous in everything He does; He is filled with kindness.”
Ephesians 1:8 “He has showered His kindness on us, along with all wisdom and understanding.”
Psalms 116:5 “How kind the Lord is! How good He is! So merciful, this God of ours!”
Ephesians 1:7 “He is so rich in kindness and gracd that he purchased our freedom with the blood of His Son and forgave our sins.”
Romans 3:24 “Yet God, with undeserved kindness, declares that we are righteous. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins.”
1 Peter 5:10 “In his kindness God called you to share in His eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So after you have suffered a little while, he will resotre, support, and strengthen you, and He will place you on a firm foundation.”

2 Corinthians 6:6 “We prove ourselves by our purity, our understanding, our patience, our kindness, by the Holy Spirit within us, and by our sincere love.”
Colossians 3:12 “Since God chose you to be the holy people He loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.”
2 Timothy 2:24 ” A servant of the Lord must not quarrel but must be kind to everyone, be able to teach, and be patient with difficult people.
Luke 6:35 “Love your enemies! Do good the them. Lend to them without expecting to be repaid. Then your reward from heaven will be very great, and you will truly be acting as children of the Most High, for He is kind to those who are unthankful and wicked.”
As we can see God is kind and shows this kindness to us regardless of how imperfect we are. We don’t deserve any kindness from God but he showers it on us freely. As God’s children we need to show this same kindness that Christ show us to others.
