20 Bible Scripture Verses on God’s Grace

Grace in the context of Christianity can be defined as an “undeserved, unearned act of love, kindness, mercy and favor shown or given as a free gift to people by God.”  God’s grace can never be earned, it is freely given to those who accept and desire it. It is by God’s grace that we are able to be saved and that we are able to be sanctified in the sight of Him.  There are many Bible Scripture Verses about grace, that give us a clear picture of just how loving and merciful God really is.  Here is a list of Scriptures that speak on grace:

Acts 15:11 “We believe that we are all saved the same way, by the undeserved grace of the Lord Jesus.”

Titus 2:11 “For the grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people.”

Romans 6:1-2 “Well then, should we keep on sinning so that God can show us more of His wonderful grace?  Of course not! Since we have died to sin, how can we continue to live in it?”

Ephesians 1:6-7 “So we praise God for the gloroious grace he has poured out on us who belong to His dear Son.  He is so rich in kiness and grace that he purchased our freedome with the blood of His Son and forgave our sins.”

Psalms 84:11 “For the Lord God is our sun and our shield.  He gives us grace and glory.  The Lord will withhold no good thing from those who do what is right.”

Acts 20:32 “And now I entrust you to God and the message of His grace that is able to build you up and give you an inheritance with all those he has set apart for himself.”

Romans 6:14 “Sin is no longer your master, for you no longer live under the requirements of the law.  Instead, you live under the freedom of God’s grace.”

2 Corinthians 4:15 “All of this is for your benefit. And as God’s grace reaches more and more people, there will be great thanksgiving, and God will receive more and more glory.”

Galatians 5:4 “For if you are trying to make yourselves right with God by keeping the law, you have been cut off from Christ! You have fallen away from God’s grace.\

Ephesians 2:5 “that even though we were dead because of our sins, He gave us life when He raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!)

Ephesians 2:8  “God saved you by His grace when you believed.  And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God.”

Titus 3:7 “Because of His grace He declared us righteous and gave us confidence that we will inherit eternal life.”

James 4:6 “But He gives us even more grace to stand against such evil desires.  As the Scriptures say, God opposes the proud but favors the humble.”

Romans 11:6 “And since it is through God’s kindness, then it is not by their good works.  For in that case, God’s grace would not be what it really is – free and undeserved.”

Romans 5:17 “For the sin of this one man, Adam, caused death to rule over many.  But even greater is God’s wonderful grace and His gift of righteousness, for all who receive it will live in triumph over sin and death through this one man, Jesus Christ.”

Romans 5:21 “So just as sin ruled over all people and brought them to death, now God’s wonderful grace rules instead, giving us right standing with God and resulting in eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

2 Timothy 1:9 “For God saved us and called us to live a holy life.  He did this, not because we deserved it, but because that was His plan from before the beginning of time – to show us His grace through Christ Jesus.”

Hebrews 2:9 “What we do see is Jesus, who was given a position “a little lower than the angels”; and because he suffered death for us, He is now crowned with glory and honor.  Yes, by God’s grace, Jesus tasted death for everyone.”

2 John 1:3 “Grace, mercy and peace, which come from God the Father and from Jesus Christ – the Son of the Father – will continue to be with us who live in truth and love.”

Romans 5:15 “But there is a great difference between Adam’s sin and God’s gracious gift.  For the sin of this one man, Adam, brought death to many.  But even greater is God’s wonderful grace and His gift of forgiveness to many through this other man, Jesus Christ.”

These bible scriptures about grace show us that God loves us and has shown immense mercy and kindness towards a sinful and disgraced people.  God desires that we believe and have faith in his Son so that we may experience His gift of grace that we might be saved and have favor in our lives.
