20 Salvation Bible Verses – What the Word of God Tells Us

We by our very nature are sinful, and therefore were doomed to suffer the consequences of our sin, which was eternal death.  However through the grace of God we can receive salvation through his Son Jesus Christ.  The Word of God has many Salvation Bible verses that it uses to tell us how to receive this salvation from our sins.  Here is what the Word of God has to say about salvation.

Psalm 40:16 “But may all who search for you be filled with joy and gladness in you. May those who love your salvation repeatedly shout, “The Lord is great!”

Isaiah 25:9 “In that day the people will proclaim, “This is our God! We trusted in him, and he saved us! This is the Lord, in whom we trusted. Let us rejoice in the salvation he brings!”

Luke 3:6 “And then all people will see the salvation sent from God.’”

John 3:16-17 “For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.  God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him.”

Acts 4:11-12 “For Jesus is the one referred to in the Scriptures, where it says, The stone that you builders rejected has now become the cornerstone. There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.”

By Billy Graham / Thomas Nelson

For more than 70 years Dr. Billy Graham has shared the Gospel with the world. He’s presented the truth about Jesus Christ to millions and sought to draw hearts closer to faith.

Now, in what may be his last book, he shares this same life-changing message. In The Reason for My Hope: Salvation, Graham calls the world back to it’s spiritual priority, to consider our lives now and the hereafter with sober reflection. Filled with new stories and enduring truth, Graham invites all who will, to follow the Savior and discover a faith that saves.

Romans 5:4 “And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation.”

2 Corinthians 7-10 “For the kind of sorrow God wants us to experience leads us away from sin and results in salvation. There’s no regret for that kind of sorrow. But worldly sorrow, which lacks repentance, results in spiritual death.”

Ephesians 2:8-10 “God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago”

1 Thessalonians 5:8 “But let us who live in the light be clearheaded, protected by the armor of faith and love, and wearing as our helmet the confidence of our salvation.

2 Thessalonians 2:14 “He called you to salvation when we told you the Good News; now you can share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

2 Timothy 3:15 “You have been taught the holy Scriptures from childhood, and they have given you the wisdom to receive the salvation that comes by trusting in Christ Jesus.”

Titus 2:11 “For the grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people.”‘

Hebrews 5:8-9 Even though Jesus was God’s Son, he learned obedience from the things he suffered. In this way, God qualified him as a perfect High Priest, and he became the source of eternal salvation for all those who obey him.”

Hebrews 9:28 “so also Christ died once for all time as a sacrifice to take away the sins of many people. He will come again, not to deal with our sins, but to bring salvation to all who are eagerly waiting for him.”

1 Peter 1:9 “The reward for trusting him will be the salvation of your souls.”

1 Peter 1:13 ” So think clearly and exercise self-control. Look forward to the gracious salvation that will come to you when Jesus Christ is revealed to the world.”

Psalm 79:9 “Help us, O God of our salvation! Help us for the glory of your name. Save us and forgive our sins for the honor of your name.”

Romans 5:9 “And since we have been made right in God’s sight by the blood of Christ, he will certainly save us from God’s condemnation.”

1 Thessalonians 5:9 “For God chose to save us through our Lord Jesus Christ, not to pour out his anger on us.”

Through Jesus Christ we can have salvation, it is a free gift and all who believe and put their trust in Jesus Christ will receive it.  It is important to note that we are called through the Word of God to turn from our sinful ways and to make Jesus Christ not only our savior but our Lord.

Simply believing and trusting in God, yet continuing on in your sinful ways will not result in salvation because you have not truly repented and turned from your sin.  I pray that today you take this free gift of salvation that Jesus Christ is offering and that you truly give you life to him and turn from your sin.  I guarantee you it will be the best decision you ever make in your life.
