6 Don’t waste what is holy on people who are unholy. Don’t throw your pearls to pigs! They will trample the pearls, then turn and attack you.”

My Thoughts:
So many times we can judge people and we don’t even really realize that we are doing it. It could be simple judgments about their looks or how they act around people, it could be judgments against their character or their relationship with their spouse or even God. Passing judgment on others comes in all different forms and severity, however it is important that we remember that we are in no place to judge anybody else.
Jesus gave us a story in His Word where he tells the Pharisees and religious teachers that whoever is without sin can cast the first stone, and because nobody was without sin the only one that could cast a stone(judge or condemn) was Jesus Christ. This verse from the beginning of Matthew is a good reminder that however we judge and with the measure or severity that we judge with, so too will we be judged.
We are called to love others as we do ourselves, we are called to love our enemies and to share the love of Christ to all in order to be a witness for the gospel of Jesus Christ. When we begin to look at others the way that Jesus Christ sees them, no matter how terrible or how nice they are to us, we can begin to see them for who they really are… a lost person with a deep hurt inside who is looking for the love of Jesus Christ to come and fill that void in their lives.
