Daily Bible Verse – Psalms 46:1-3

Today’s Bible Verse – March 5 2014
Psalm 46:1-3
God is our refuge and strength always ready to help in times of trouble. So we will not fear, even if earthquakes come, and the mountains crumble into the sea. Let the oceans roar and foam. Let the mountains tremble as the waters surge.

My Thoughts:

Refuge is defined as: a place of shelter, protection, or safety

Through life we can go through many challenges, and while some challenges we will be able to take head on by ourselves, there are many problems or situations that arise where we will feel engulfed and overwhelmed. It is during those times that we need to take our eyes off the problems and place them on the problem solver – Jesus Christ.

We can take great comfort in knowing that no matter what situations or circumstances come our way that we have somebody bigger than all of it to turn to for help. God is our refuge, our strength and help in times of trouble. God is always there for us no matter where we are. God is waiting for us to turn to Him and run into His open arms so that He can protect and comfort us during our time of trouble.

When we run to God for help, he will not only help us through our hard times, He will not only protect us from any danger that may arise against us, but God will also take those troubles and circumstances as His own burden and He will give us a great peace and the wisdom to be able to work through these troubles.

If you are currently dealing with hard times or circumstances regardless of whether they are small or as great as an earthquake, I would strongly encourage you to turn to God, give Him your troubles and leave them in His very capable hands. When we give up on trying to fix everything ourselves and we put our full trust and dependence on God, He will protect us and give us the strength to go through any circumstance or problem.
