The Power of Words – Joyce Meyer Sermon Videos

We learn from many verses throughout the Bible about the power of words, and the good and bad that can happen when we use our tongues. The Word of God in fact places so much importance on the power of words that it says the words that come out of our mouths can bring life or they can bring death.

Words can create, or they can destroy. They can encourage or discourage, they can speak blessings or speak curses. The truth of the matter is that words are so powerful in the spiritual realm that this very world and everything in it was created by God through Jesus Christ who spoke it into existence. The very miracles recounted in the Bible shows Jesus speaking over the sick and crippled and they were healed.

Psalm 34 12,13 shows us the power of words as it says:

“Does anyone want to live a life that is long and prosperous? Then keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies!
“.

James 3:2 tells us:

Indeed, we all make many mistakes. For if we could control our tongues, we would be perfect and could also control ourselves in every other way.

You see one of the keys to living a life full of happiness, prosperity and peace is to guard your tongue and control what type of words come out of your mouth. Today I want to share with you a series on the power of words, where she goes in depth into how important it is to control your tongue and gives out some great and incredibly valuable ways to learn to control your tongue.
